Chest protection for women in combat sport
Hard enough to protect.
Soft enough to move.
SheShield is building individualised chest protectors for women and people with breasts who fight. We are two Karatekas who got tired of choosing between a rigid board that bruises and a pad that protects nothing.
Our approach
Chest protection that fits: a shaped insert and a top that holds it
Two parts working together: a moulded protector that spreads impact away from breast tissue and the sternum, and a compression top that keeps it exactly where it belongs when you move.
Shaped to the individual body, not to an average.
Stiff where the strike lands, flexible at the ribs and arms.
Open structure so heat and sweat can leave.

The insert slides in and out of the top. It can be washed, swapped, or replaced on its own.
Who it is for
Chest protection for women and people with breasts at every level
Every woman and person with breasts who steps on a mat, in a ring, or in a cage.
Any level
First week in a beginners class or a national squad with a world championship draw. The chest takes the same hit.
Any discipline
Karate, boxing, taekwondo, kickboxing, MMA, and every dojo where a chest guard is required or quietly skipped.
Any reason
Competition, or twice a week after work. Recreational bodies are not less worth protecting.
Why we build this
We want women and people with breasts to stay in the fight for the long run.
Gear that fits is part of that.
